A simple guide to understanding your DeltaIQ text alerts.

Alerts describe observed conditions and do not guarantee results. Informational only — not personalized investment advice.

What’s in a text alert

Every alert you get is built the same basic way:

A name for the alert (like “Strong Entrance” or “Runway Qualified”)
A direction — either BULL (price expected to go up) or BEAR (price expected to go down)
A suggested entry price for the trade
A quick track record — how this type of alert has performed in the past
A current price snapshot of SPY
A green light or a caution — whether conditions look good right now
A typical timeframe — how long this type of move has taken to play out before

Types of alerts

Here’s what each alert name means:

Strong Entrance

Conditions appear aligned for a move; this is the most common type of entry alert.

High Potential Entry

Historical conditions suggest that a price move should be coming — this alert, by design, alerts a bit earlier and is less confirmed than a Strong Entrance.

Early Entrance

Historical conditions suggest that a price move should be coming — this alert, by design, is a very early indicator and is less confirmed than the High Potential Entry alert.

Runway Qualified

High-confidence Strong Entrance — where extra checks confirmed the likelihood of a Strong Entrance.

Late Fade

Conditions suggest that the current trend is likely to reverse directions.

Macro Impulse

A sudden, sharp price move, associated with news updates or economic events. These tend to impact price within short windows.

Trend Continuation

The existing move paused, and has potential to pick back up.

Trend Join

The move never paused — this is a chance to join a trend already in progress, even though the early part of it was missed.

Lower Band Bear

A downward (bear) move with supporting signs behind it.

Pin Session

A calmer, lower-conviction pattern where price is expected to drift near its average rather than trend strongly in either direction.

What you see

What it means

Entry Point

The suggested price level to consider for this trade.

Track Record / History

A quick summary of how this type of alert has done in the past, based on prior examples.

Live Price

SPY price at the moment the alert was sent.

Confidence Reading

A short snapshot of how favorable current conditions look. Higher generally means more conviction behind the call.

Green Light / Caution

Tells you whether this alert is cleared as a strong opportunity right now, or should be treated more cautiously.

Typical Hold Time

How long this type of move has typically taken to reach its target in the past. This is a guide, not a guarantee.

A couple of reminders

BULL means the alert expects price to rise. BEAR means it expects price to fall.
All of the numbers you see are based on historical patterns, not guarantees of what will happen next.
